Toadette is a recurring female Toad in the Mario franchise. She is characterized by her white-spotted pink mushroom cap with two braid-like plaits. Since her first appearance in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Toadette has often been paired with Toad, but she has not appeared in any Sega-produced media, the Mario & Sonic crossover series in particular, until Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. However, Toadette has made a few cameos in the Super Smash Bros. series.

History[edit]

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

Toadette makes a few cameos in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in the form of a trophy and two stickers. Her stickers show her artworks from Mario Party 7: the first one shows her with Toad, and is available to Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser. Her second sticker shows her singular artwork, which is only usable by Princess Peach and Princess Zelda.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U[edit]

Toadette returns as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. She has a nearly identical pose to her trophy pose in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, albeit flipped.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Toadette appears in her Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker appearance as a master spirit, encountered in World of Light. In her spirit battle, the player has to defeat a female Villager and a Mii Brawler in a Toad hat and vest on the Battlefield form of The Great Cave Offensive. Once the battle is won, Toadette will host the Ruins, one of the locations in the Explore activity, where spirits can embark on a two-hour expedition searching for treasure. After each expedition, the player is often rewarded with Spirit Points.

Toadette makes her Mario & Sonic series debut as a playable character in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Toadette is a Speed-type guest character, and can only be played in the 110m Hurdles event. Toadette's outfit for 110m Hurdles is comparable to her alternate costume from Mario Tennis Aces.

She loves animals and listening to music, and she's quite good at sports. She's also shown herself to be helpful in explaining Mario's weapons. There is definitely more to Toadette than there seems to be.
Flag of Europe.png Toadette didn't show up until Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on the GameCube, but has been helping out in games here and there ever since. She loves animals and listening to music, and can explain Mario's weapons like a pro. On top of all that, she's great at all kinds of sports. Yep, she's definitely much more than just a (very) cute face.
