Taito Chase H.Q. (also known as Chase H.Q.) is a racing game, originally developed and published by Taito for Arcade machines in 1988. In this game, players are in a role of an undercover policeman named Tony Gibson (alongside his unplayable friend, Raymond Broady) inside a car driving on streets around multiple locations in the United States in order to chase and arrest criminals inside other cars and vehicles. Both are assisted by Nancy, who helps the duo through radio talking by giving hints before the stage starts.
Taito brought Chase H.Q. to Sega Master System in 1990 with Sega publishing it only in Mexico and PAL territories. It is based on the Family Computer version, which was developed by Daiei Manufacturing. It was also ported to Sega Game Gear in 1991 only in Japan and USA, this time, both releases being published by Taito themselves. The Game Gear version is actually, one Master System game inside a Game Gear cartridge, with essential adaptations in the fonts and a Sega logo being added to the game. The Game Gear version of Rastan also received the same treatment.
A Sega Saturn port of Chase H.Q. would be released as Taito Chase H.Q. Plus S.C.I. in 1996. This version also includes his sequel, Special Criminal Investigation, which was previously released on Sega Master System as well.
