Supersonic Downhill is a Dream Skiing Dream Event which appears in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Nintendo DS. The objective of the event is to reach the end of the course in the fastest time, with the event taking place on Trial Mountain. The starting course record for this event is 00:23.496.

In this event, the player starts automatically, and can accelerate using right on +Control Pad and jump by pressing A Button. The player must aim to avoid the Brick Blocks along the course, as hitting one without a Barrier will cause their character to retire and record no time for the event. The player can pick up Barriers and Mushrooms which are scattered along the course, the former of which provides protection from one hit of a Brick Block on the course at the cost of speed, and the latter which can be collected to perform Mushroom Dashes by pressing B Button. The player can hold up to five Mushrooms at a time and will gain a short boost of speed by performing a Mushroom Dash, however using up multiple Mushrooms at a time will not increase the speed boost received. The character that completes the course in the fastest time wins the event. Uniquely, this event takes place entirely in 2D, including the athlete introduction and awards ceremony.
