Music (also called as SEGA SC-3000 Music Editor in the title screen) is an educational software, developed by Mitec and released by Sega in 1983 for the SC-3000 computer. In this software, users can compose their own music to be played on SC-3000's SN76489AN sound chip by typing the desired commands and notes as stated in the instruction manual. Alongside BASIC Level III B, Music is known for being one of the two killer apps of the SC-3000 in Japan, as well as one of the fewest apps being distributed in cartridges rather than cassette tapes.
In the package, Music comes with the cartridge, instruction manual, a rubber key overlay for the SC-3000's own keyboard, and keyboard stickers. The software also supports saving and loading users' music composed into a cassette tape through the Data Recorder SR-1000.
