Get the key! is a mini-game featured in Adventure Tours in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Nintendo DS. The mini-game features Luigi as the playable character, and becomes playable once he is part of their team.
In Sparkleton, Mario and Sonic find find a door with a keyhole. If Luigi is in their team, he tells the party that he will go and search for the key. However, a Boo appears and scares Luigi, who bumps into a tree from which the key falls out of. The Boo takes the key and challenges Luigi to take it from him, starting the minigame.
Get the key! starts with five Boos, and Luigi has to figure out which one of them has the key. In order to do so, Luigi has to collect all four batteries without touching a Boo, as this causes Luigi to drop the batteries, scattering them. The HUD has an onscreen battery meter, divided into four batteries, which turn light green for each one collected. When Luigi has collected every battery, the star-shaped lights on each corner briefly turn on, during which the Boos become invisible, and the key can be seen floating within the Boo who has it. During this, Luigi has to pick up the key before the lights go back out. By touching the key, Luigi wins the minigame.
