The Crabber[1] is a Badnik that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a mass-produced Quasi-Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman that combines the designs of the Crabmeat and the Spina models.
History[edit]
In issue 38, a Crabber, alongside a Motochop and a Buzzkiller found Sonic, Tails, and Amy while they were in a test chamber built by Dr. Eggman. However, Sonic and his friends managed to destroy the Crabber, alongside the Motochop and Buzzkiller as well.
In issue 39, several red Crabbers can be seen falling into the sky.
Appearance[edit]
A combination of the Crabmeat and the Spina, the Crabber model shares the physical characteristics of both models. It possesses a white cone segment for a lower body, which has yellow ring around the upper and lower edge, as well as white studs with yellow caps on its bottom's lower edge. It also has a gray cap covering its bottom. The model's upper on the other hand consists of a purple and mechanical crustacean body with a wide white mouth segment and yellow upper lip, gray eyestalks with cyan eyes that possess black sclera and purple eyelids, and gray arms with purple pinchers on a black joint each. There also exists a red variant of Crabber, though the differences between the red and purple variants are never specified.
