Effect An aerial move in which Bayonetta uses a fiery kick

After Burner Kick is an aerial technique in the Bayonetta franchise, in which it appears in both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2. Using it causes Bayonetta to fly toward an opponent and deliver a fiery kick for extra damage.

The After Burner Kick is named after the Sega-produced After Burner series.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

In Bayonetta's playable appearances within the Super Smash Bros. series, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Bayonetta has After Burner Kick as her side special move instead of Heel Slide if she performs it in midair. Upon using After Burner Kick, Bayonetta kicks diagonally up, and if it hits an opponent, she can use the move a second time. If the player holds down on the control stick before performing After Burner Kick, the attack instead sends Bayonetta kicking diagonally downward.
